Longview: Not Your Average Small City
Longview is a city located in East Texas where Interstate 20 & Highways 80 and 259 converge just north of the Sabine River. In 2014, Forbes magazine rated Longview as the sixth-fastest growing small city in the United States. Like Tyler, the city is considered a major hub city for East Texas. Festivals are a big part of Longview culture: in May, Longview celebrates the arts with AlleyFest, while in June, the city hosts its famous T-Bone Walker Blues Festival, and finally, in July, Longview kicks off the Great Texas Balloon Race. Other special events include: Freeze Your Fanny Bike Ride, the Boat & RV show, and the Longview Kennel Club’s Annual AKC Dog Show. Longview also offers plenty of activities for the avid ourdoorsman: hiking, camping, canoeing, gold, scenic drives, and area parks are all available to you once you call this beautiful city home!
